SEO, otherwise known as search engine optimization or the holy grail of online marketing. To achieve higher search engine rankings in the organic search results on sites such as Google, Bing and Yahoo, you must know and understand search engine optimization and how it plays a role in driving substantial traffic to your website. Many, however are not up to speed on SEO practices and may even seem overwhelmed by the idea in general. Indeed, SEO can be a substantial undertaking, however, the basic principles are not all that difficult.
SEO Made Easy
Well, have no fear my weary, yet enthusiastic internet entrepreneur, I’ve been reviewing a fantastic new service which I’ve been using since its inception to easily and effectively optimize my copy to gain the best SEO results possible. This powerful service has become an invaluable resource in helping me easily optimize my copy to ensure I achieve the highest possible rankings on the search engines. It requires no SEO knowledge or experience and will automatically analyze your copy and provide you with recommendations on how to better improve your content to achieve the best results.
Introducing Scribe
Scribe is a unique, yet amazing SEO software service for WordPress which analyzes and grades your copy to ensure it is optimized for the best possible search engine listing. What makes this service so unique and powerful is that it requires no experience or know-how on your end at all. I’ve been extremely impressed with how easy to use and effective Scribe has been at helping me to analyze my own content.
Before I provide my review of Scribe, I want to make clear that I’ve created this post to freely provide a value added service for my readers and clients. As a result, all links in this post to Scribe are affiliate links.
How Does Scribe Work
Once you’ve created a Scribe account, you will be given an API key and link to download and install Scribe to your WordPress Blog. Once installed, you will see the Scribe Content Optimizer box displayed in the side bar of your edit post/page admin panel as seen in the image below:
Scribe Results Revealed
Simply write your copy, and when you’ve finished, click the “Analyze” button in the Scribe Content Optimizer box. Scribe will then analyze your copy and provide you with feedback on how search engine optimized your content is. Once Scribe has completed its analysis, a light box will display with the results as follows:
The information provided in the light box is extremely valuable and useful. As you can see from the image above, Scribe provides you with a percentage score as well as a listing of the criteria it looks for when analyzing your copy. If all the criteria are met, scribe will provide you with a score of 100%. If not, Scribe will indicate what SEO items are lacking and instruct you on how to correct it.
Scribe Keyword Analysis
As you can see in the image above, Scribe has several tabs across the top of the results box. Each tab is extremely helpful in assisting you to achieve the best possible SEO results. The “Keyword Analysis” tab provides a complete overview of the keywords utilized throughout your content body, title and description. It provides you with detailed information on the prominence of specific keywords, their frequency, as well as their density throughout your copy. This is very useful information and will help you assess whether or not you are properly utilizing your keywords effectively. I do recommend however, before you begin to write your copy, research keywords relevant for your topic through the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, as I’ve detailed in Search Engine Optimization, The Reality of What Really Works.
Scribe Modifying Keywords
The next tab, “Change Keywords” provides details on how you can change Scribes analysis of the keywords in the event you would prefer to modify your primary keywords to another set of keywords. This is useful if the keyword analysis provides info regarding other keywords that may not of been identified as primary keywords, but may appear more prominently and more frequently throughout your content. This is helpful because you want to ensure your primary keywords are more frequently utilized than others to ensure the best SEO results possible.
Scribe Recommended Content Tags
Content tags are an extremely important aspect of SEO. Think of content tags as another individual link or page relevant to your main post which can be indexed by search engines. Having multiple links for a page or post can greatly increase your chances of achieving a higher search engine ranking. Not only does Scribe do a beautiful job of analyzing your copy, it even goes as far as aggregating content tags from within your post and recommends them to you. It is not recommended you use every tag Scribe recommends, but rather, use the tags that most describe your content accurately. The more accurate the tags the better your chances of achieving a higher ranking within the organic search results.
Scribe Search Engine Results Page (SERP)
The SERP page of Scribe is very useful in indicating how your search engine listing will display when it comes up in search results. This is ideal as it allows you to maximize your listing to ensure it meets search engine standards as well as properly displays the most important and relevant information to encourage visitors to want to click on the link to visit your site. If you don’t agree with the way it displays, here is your chance to modify your content title and description to best encourage visitors to want to come to your site.
Best Practices
And finally Scribe provides you with constantly updated SEO best practices. Knowledge is power and Scribe certainly does not fail to deliver on the promise of SEO. This powerful page is packed full of valuable information to help you better understand how to optimize your content to improve your results. Search engines are ever growing and changing, as a result best practices are constantly updated to ensure the SEO industry can keep up with the changing environment. Scribe Requiements
Scribe currently functions as a plugin for WordPress and is compatible with the Thesis, Headway or Hybrid WordPress themes. If you are not using one of these themes, then you must have the All-In-One SEO plugin installed. Each of these themes and the All in One SEO plugin provide advanced SEO features that Scribe utilizes for its content analysis and are currently necessary for Scribe to function properly.
